Hello, authors (present and future)!
We're excited to work with you if you've signed up for one of our services. If you're still on the fence, reach out to us. We'd love to answer any questions or concerns you may have that we still need to address on this page.
On to the FAQs!
When do I pay?
All payments for Inkwright, Inc.'s live group workshops, one-on-one coaching, and ebook formatting are due upfront.
For editing services, 50% of the fee is due upfront, and the balance is due once we've completed 50% of the editing work.
Inkwright, Inc. will only release completed editing and ebook formatting work once you have paid all related invoices in full.
Do you charge for changes in scope?
Yes, all changes in scope will incur additional charges. However, we will work with you so you know what those charges will be, so you'll never be surprised by an invoice.
What is your refund policy on editing and ebook formatting?
Inkwright, Inc. does not offer refunds for completed ebooks and editing work that meets our high spelling, grammatical correctness, structured storytelling, and formatting standards.
If your editor or formatter delivers work that doesn't meet our quality standards, please contact us. One of our leads will review the work and make any necessary corrections.
What is your refund policy for group workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions?
If one of our writing coaches must cancel a pre-scheduled group workshop or one-on-one coaching session, we will reschedule it within five days of the canceled workshop. If Inkwright, Inc. cannot reschedule the live seminar to occur within five days, we will refund the cost of the workshop.
If you miss a workshop, Inkwright, Inc. will provide you with a recording. If we cannot provide a recording, we will refund the cost of the session or apply it to a future session, whichever you prefer.
If you need to terminate a series of group workshops or one-on-one coaching sessions, Inkwright, Inc. will refund any payments you have made for future sessions.
We do not provide refunds for past group workshops or one-on-one coaching sessions you have attended.

What kind of commitments can I expect to make?
Learning to write well requires practice and commitment. Inkwright, Inc. expects our live workshop and one-on-one coaching clients to fully engage in their writing assignments, critiques, readings, etc.
For example, in our live workshops, we would like you to write at least 1,000 words per week and critique and edit small selections of other people's work of approximately 1,000 words. Please complete these assignments promptly to maintain the high-quality learning experience we strive to provide to all our clients.
What file formats to you support?
For editing and ebook formatting, we require all our clients to provide their work to us in Word (.docx) format.
If the files you send us have any issues, we can return them to you to fix or correct them for you at an hourly rate, whichever you prefer.
For group workshops and one-on-one sessions, we ask that you share your work using a Portable Document Format (.pdf) file. Most programs will export to PDF; most computers can read PDF files without installing additional software.
What do you do if someone is being disruptive in a group workshop?
Inkwright, Inc. reserves the right to remove clients from group sessions for violating our terms and conditions or engaging in conduct that we deem disruptive.
If we must remove a client from a group session, we will provide the client with a copy of the session. We will only offer a refund for the workshop if we cannot provide a recording of the event.
Do you guarantee that I will become a better writer?
Inkwright, Inc. will do our best to provide you with a welcoming learning environment and the information you need to be a great writer. However, we give no guarantees due to the heavy influence of your personal dedication and natural aptitude on the process.
